The Intelligent Bus Converter IOPK-AIBC is an interface coupler for connecting devices that do not support fieldbus to fieldbus systems. The module enables slave RS-232 serial devices, such as sensors, printers, message displays etc., to communicate with fieldbus systems. On the RS-485 side, the AIBC supports protocols for Profibus-DP, Modbus-RTU and ASCII, which can be linked to virtually any slave device via either an RS-232 or RS-485 interface
